BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE Dr. Peterson's practice includes psychotherapy and evaluations. In private practice since 1998, Dr. Peterson has worked with a wide variety of concerns.
Peterson has experience in forensic practice through her work as an evaluator and expert witness in the Douglas County Juvenile Court. She has completed more than 100 hours of training through the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. She has testified in County, District and Federal Courts.
CARL Most days she shares her office with her dog, Carl. He is named after Carl Rogers, who believed that the therapist's unconditional positive regard for the client is the mechanism of change in psychotherapy. Carl excels at offering unconditional positive regard to everyone he meets. If you would prefer not to meet him, please inform the office staff.
